Admissions General Information and Updates

The Admissions Office is available for inquiries at admissions@imhotepcharter.org.  We understand there is a great deal of uncertainty at this time and assure all applicants, waiting list students and newly admitted students that we will do our best to ensure that you are informed and updated on the 2020-21 admissions process in this unusual year.  Below you will see information for students and families that fall into several categories.  Again, if you have additional questions or need further clarification, please send us an email with your specific issue.  Thank you for your continued interest in Imhotep Institute Charter High School.  We will post admissions updates here over the next few months.
 
Applicants for the 2020-21 School Year
All applicants included in our 2020-21 Admissions Lottery were notified as to their admissions status via email in March.  If you have not received an email notification regarding an application, please first check your SPAM folder for an email from IICHS Admissions in early March.  You can also send us an inquiry as to your student's admissions status at admissions@imhotepcharter.org.  If you are interested in applying for the 2020-21 school year you may still do so by clicking on the Apply Online tab on this page.  All applications received at this time will go directly to the Waiting List.
 
Students Selected in the 2020-21 Admissions Lottery
Students selected in the admissions lottery were notified via email and postal mail in March.  Families that received an email notification of acceptance but did not receive an Acceptance Letter in the postal mail may send us an email request with your student's NAME and DOB for a copy of your Acceptance Letter.  The initial document submission deadline for securing a slot for 2020-21 has been extended to May 15, 2020.  We understand that some families are unable to secure all of the requested documents given closures and limited access to medical offices.  We will accept what you have available for now and secure the rest prior to or when school begins. Families may scan/take pictures of documents and email them or fax them to 215.438.4160.  Please make certain that your student's full name and date of birth are on each page.  If you were selected in the lottery, but are unable to submit any documents and still plan to enroll your student at Imhotep, please send us an email at admissions@imhotepcharter.org . If you have already submitted documents, you will receive verification of your submission after May 1st.  After the May 15th document submission deadline, a notification will be sent to all admitted students regarding On-Line Registration, which will begin on June 1, 2020.
 
Students Placed on the 2020-21 Waiting List
All applicants placed on the Waiting List in our 2020-21 Admissions Lottery were notified via email in March.   Given the unusual circumstances and timeline of the admissions process this year, selecting students from the Waiting List for fall admission will unfortunately be delayed until at least June 15th and depends entirely on the number of selected students that complete the enrollment process through the end of June. The 2020-21 Waiting List will remain active until the end of the 2020-21 school year.  It is a one year waiting list only.  If you received an email notification that your student has been placed on the Waiting List and would like to know their Waiting List Number, please send us an email at admissions@imhotepcharter.org with your student's name and date of birth asking for their admissions status.
